[Billy Hi Viz]

I will be fishing two matches this week,one at Portlands on Wednesday and the other at Mill Dam on Thursday,hopefully I will be able to report some good fishing.

Todays match was virtually a wash out rained all day ,not many fish caught,23 lbs won it.

5 lbs 2nd and me 3rd with 3 lbs 11 ozs,hope tomorrows match is better.

Better day today,still rained on and off,reminded me of Northern Ireland.

50+kg won the match,I had 28kg but did not frame.

12 anglers turned up from the Newark veterans,I had to fish in the juniors match as I am only 64.To qualify for the vets you have to be over 65,one of the chaps is nearly 90 and carried all his own kit to his peg,I was well impressed as he won the match..

Looking forward to next week when we do it all again.

Good stuff Billy, shame the 28kg didn't figure after the weights from the day before but thats fishing ya just never know its going to be hit or miss. Impressive stuff from the 90year old, I'll be pleased to reach that milestone never mind carry my own kit to the peg

Fished Portlands today(a pleasure sesh) and had one carp and around 20lbs of roach,just could not get the carp feeding.
