After many weeks away I finally got a day out on my favourite fishery yesterday.
I fished peg 24 on the canal(advised by Toby the fishery manager)and had a cracking day with a really mixed bag of quality fish including,Chub,Barbel,Roach,Rudd,Tench, and a cracking Gold fish of around 2 to 3lbs all caught on maggot or sweetcorn on the long pole line.
Half an hour before I packed up I put a few bits of loose feed down the edge and was rewarded by catching 2 beautiful carp one of around 10lbs and the other nearer the 15lb mark.
Great to be back and looking forward to my next session on Saturday.

Sure am Andy,I like fishing the Ladypitt stretch above and below the weir.
Maybe this season I will venture out a wee bit further and fish the tidal stretch.

Fished Portlands Wednesday and only had one fish, the match was won with 6lbs+,it was dire really cold and the fish were not playing.
Fished it again yesterday(Sat) and it was back to its old self 23 fish for over 80lbs of good quality Carp with a couple of nice Barbel as well.
