Measures to crack down on drivers who abuse the disabled parking system will come into force in England and Scotland from 1 January.

There are an estimated 2.5 million blue badges in circulation, allowing drivers to park on yellow lines as well as avoid parking and congestion charges.

But blue badge fraud is estimated to cost the UK £46m a year

Hope they manage to reduce the fraud mate, 46million could be better spent else where like the NHS or Education

Those that misuse the Blue Disabled Badges deserve to be disabled, they then may chose to do otherwise and respect the correct use of them. But until this happens the lazy and the fickle will continue to use these badges often obtaining the badges through foul means.  Some individuals even pretend that they are disabled, some claiming DLA because carrying out any form of labour and paying their dues is against their lazy natures.
