I have been following ROW activities for a while on this site and respect work that is ongoing, but why no mention of this on here??? :

World Carp Classic ......
Jim and I will be spending 12 days in France from the 2nd sept to the 12th sept taking part in the WCC. Davey P is coming with us as our runner...so thank David and thank you Julie.....

The match lasts for 6 days and 5 nights and we are the first team that is made up of all disabled anglers...so history in the making and with luck we will show other less able/disabled anglers that anything is possible.

I think it has been mentioned on at least one other fishing forum site 'DaveyP'

Hi,

I would have got round to putting it on here but since our place at the event was confirmed it has been a bit hectic. people have been ringing for interviews and TV France has already contacted me about doing an interview when we arrive..

Thank you Cypry44 for putting it up on here.
I have enclosed a link to the thread where it is on our WCC preperatin blog.
Thanks again

Nick

Not wishing to be nasty but WHY has the last post on here been started by me in Jan??

As I said ROW seemed a good cause, but seems to have gone away.

We have not gone away at all we have plenty of things going on later in the year but like most anglers and angling associated groups we are a lot quieter over the winter period.

This years festival planning is well under way and it will be the biggest so far as we have almost filled the complex we are fishing at, why not come along and see what we are doing and have a great weekend.

There is also plenty going on behind the scenes which will not be announced until they are all confirmed, please visit the website or follow Reels On Wheels on facebook if you want to see everything going on.

ROW has not gone away, unfortunatly the majority of us involved in ROW are disabled and find it hard to go out and about in the winter months, for this reason it looks like nothing is going on.
Well many things go on in the winter for us, Claire is busy writing to festival sponsors and trying to fill all the places, plus this winter after hearing that we got a team into the World Carp Classic we have been hunting down sponsors for that.

We also have a team in the Midland Carp Masters in July at Barston Lakes.

I have been talking to the EA and the ADB about various things which I am not able to go into just yet. We have also teamed up with the Kent and Southeast DAA to get some projects on the go and both organisations are involved with the DAA and have been talking to many clubs and fisheries, plus we have managed to get a few new fishing buddies on board.
We just don't announce things untill we are 100% sure that it is all sorted.

So I dont think we have gone away, and if I have my way ROW will be around long after I am gone.

Many things take place on facebook and we have
www.reels-on-wheels.com which is about the WCC
www.reels-on-wheels.co.uk which has festival details.
