I went fishing. Cant remember the last time I ventured out. Bad weather and illness putting a stop to it.

The pool I fished is in a funny location. An industrial estate on one side a working sand quarry and a young offenders institution on another. Just down the road is an army helicopter base.

Three anglers already fishing on arrival not a lot doing a few bits and one jack. I sat there watching the helicopters doing circuit and bumps. Never seen so many helicopters flying around.

My total for the day was 2 jacks 2.5lb approx .,The other might have pulled the scales to 2lb. Both feisty little fish considering the weather. The second fish came within seconds of recasting after the first fish. Hey but who cares I didnt blank and most importantly just being there was pleasure enough.
