Venue: Tayport Area - Fife
Weather: cold , bloody freezing
Bait: Mackie
1st club comp of the year , was supposed to be at scotstown to meet up with WSF meet , but no-one got in contact .
I slept in a bit so headed over to fife since i only had mackie.
Headed towards Tayport parked car , after a few slips , tumbles etc made it down , a few mins past i caught a flounder , this was followed by a double hitter of coalies .
After 1 hour i had 2 flounders , 3 coalie , 2 codling all small but a fish is a fish , then my rod started going crazy a 2 1/2lb trout , returned , another few bites a coalie again , 2 hours later with water going out fast my rod went again another trout smaller around 1/2lb mark , only had spring scales hands shaking with cold .
In the end i managed to catch 2 flounders , 4 coalies , 4 codling , 2 trout a very good start of the year , another thing glad i had my sweedish army stove with me , hot food .
End note 1 reel broke , no piccies left camera

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.
